Film Festival Donana Science held in collaboration with the Institute of Cinematography and the Arts Audiovisual (ICAA), took place at the International Centre for Research and Ecological and Environmental Conventions, Ciecem, University of Huelva, in the park Matalascañas dune. The film sample was attended by directors of the prestige of Joaquín Gutiérrez Acha, Manuel E. Vidal, Alvaro Mendoza Luis Miguel Dominguez, among others, could be followed live on Internet thanks to the cooperation agreement reached between the English Association of Scientific Film (ASECIC), organizer of the event, and the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). The festival has the vocation to disseminate scientific knowledge that currently is told through cinematic language of cinema and promoting awareness of the understanding of environmental issues. also to learn first hand what actually occurs in the English audiovisual industry attendees at the show had the opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions directors. The film sample was supplemented by an advanced course in production and scientific filmmaking which analyzed the latest audio-visual techniques and discussed issues such as financing, production and marketing of scientific films in times of crisis, has been led by Minor and Antonio Jose Arturo Vallejo and had speakers: Juan Carlos Merino, Alvaro Mendoza, Jose Ramon Lora, Joan Abanto, Victor Gates, Kathleen Van Damm and Laura Muñoz. This Festival has shown that scientific films flourished again after many years in the shadow.
